Jorli Peña // Managing Director
Jorli Peña has successfully led a multitude of content marketing, lead generation, digital engagement and social media strategy projects over her career. Before launching Artisanal Copy, she worked at IBM and American Express OPEN, and then as a consultant to companies like Samsung, DuPont and Philips.
Jorli holds an MBA in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a BS in Biology from UCLA. You can usually find her working, drinking coffee, and rewarding herself after constructing particularly stellar prose with croissants and madelines at one of several establishments near her home in Piermont, NY (just outside NYC).
Kerry Anderson // Copywriter
Kerry Anderson enjoys delivering copy that helps brands communicate their story to targeted audiences. She spent most of her career in Silicon Valley, supporting and recruiting executives. When a company transition left a gap on the content marketing team, she stepped up as a writer and has been helping businesses craft their marketing messages ever since.
Kerry has a BS in Business from the University of Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, CA. She spends her free time reading (so many great books—so little time!) or hiking near her home in Red Rock Canyon, NV.

Julie Finefrock // Copywriter
Julie Finefrock is a professional creative grammarian. Full stop. Jealous? After spending years writing poetry and plays and utilizing overly...[ahem]...baroque verbiage on more than one occasion, she finds the pithy yet cogent imperatives of marketing copy to be surprisingly satisfying—notwithstanding the industry's disaffection for Oxford commas. When she's not courting the muse of web copy, she runs a successful college prep business, where she frequently shows her deep affection for her students by tearing their writing apart or introducing them to the adjectival order rule. Melissa Garretson // Copywriter
Melissa Garretson is a copywriter with dedication to detail and an affinity for alliteration. Thanks to extensive experience in marketing and education, Melissa excels at crafting compelling copy that conveys information in an entertaining and actionable way.
She holds degrees in history and secondary education from Temple University, where she won the Library Prize for Undergraduate Research and the Mary Procida Prize in Gender and History.
When not writing, you can find Melissa substitute teaching or reading everything she can get her hands on, from massive history monographs to the backs of shampoo bottles.
Leigh Hensley // Copywriter
Leigh brings extensive experience across multiple disciplines in hospitality, technology, healthcare, and non-profit services. And while her roles have varied throughout her career—from administration management to marketing consulting—her exceptional business communication skills have always taken center stage.
Much like joining pieces of a puzzle to create a unified, captivating visual, Leigh enjoys gathering insightful connections from many disparate sources to create cohesive, compelling content that engages readers.
A native Texan living in Ohio, Leigh often questions the necessity for winter. You will find her in pure bliss when the sun is on her face and stretch of beach is beneath her feet. Leigh has a B.S. degree from Texas State University.
Brian Popplewell // Client Services Manager
One of Brian Popplewell’s many passions is ensuring that people he interacts with come away feeling like he has heard and understood them. Over his career, he has held the role of co-founder, marketer, and client liaison. Most recently he had the honor of helping launch a new restaurant — managing a team of 25 employees and serving as the main point of contact for vendors and guests. His extensive customer service background, natural ability to manage multiple responsibilities with a sharp attention to detail, and infectious positivity creates a positive experience for Artisanal Copy clients and teammates alike.
In his free time, Brian enjoys hiking at one of two local lakes near his small hometown in Oklahoma, hanging out with his rat terrier Charlie, attending live theater productions, and partaking in all of the new experiences that life has to offer.
